Haldimand – Robbery

Crime Stoppers is looking for your anonymous information to help solve the report of a robbery at a business on Argyle Street North in Caledonia, Haldimand County, Ontario.

On Thursday April 4, 2019 at 3:31 p.m., OPP responded to Argyle Street North for a report of a robbery in progress where a male entered the business with a firearm and removed some merchandise from the store before fleeing the area.

OPP investigation, thus far, has determined that on Thursday April 4, 2019 shortly before 3:30 p.m., a male suspect entered the business where he brandished a hand gun and demanded new cell phones. The suspect was given a quantity of cell phones before he fled the business on foot last seen south bound on Argyle Street North, then east bound on Caithness Street East.

A witness reported seeing the male suspect enter the rear seat of an awaiting vehicle in a parking lot on Caithness Street East. The awaiting vehicle appeared to be a red, newer model, Kia Soul with tinted windows.

Another witness reported seeing the suspect vehicle in the area of Nairn Street and Orkney Street East before turning north bound on Argyle Street North.

The male suspect is described as:

  • Approximately 6′ tall, black male with a slim build
  • 20 – 25 years old
  • Dark hair
  • Wearing a light weight blue zippered jacket and aqua blue coloured tapered jogging pants
